ABOUT TECH SERVICES

Technology is an integral part of classroom instruction, business operations, and communication within Saint Paul Public Schools, and the Technology Services Department plays a critical role in supporting daily operations for the largest school district in Minnesota.

The Technology Services Department utilizes the Print, Copy, Mail Center, a central service desk, and teams of trained and certified service desk technicians, field technicians, network technicians, and application support specialists to manage and support district technology resources.

Mission Statement
The mission of the Saint Paul Public Schools Technology Services Department is to deliver the right technology to all Saint Paul Schools staff, students, and families to provide a Premier Education to All.

Vision Statement

Support the Strong Schools, Strong Communities Strategic Plan: Align Technology Services resources and activities with the mission of providing a Premier Education for All, while focusing on the goals of student achievement, alignment, and sustainability
Build Relationships with All SPPS Departments: Enhance Technology Services interactions and partnerships across the organization to better support common goals, while embracing transparency in all interactions and maintaining an environment of open communication.
Strategy, Policy, and Technology Governance: Work with senior leadership to refine the strategic direction for the SPPS Technology Services Department, while establishing governance structures to deepen interaction with the SPPS decision-making process. This includes developing and communicating goals and policies that align with district goals.
Resource Management: Work within the Technology Governance structure to develop a sustainable, forward-looking technology plan that provides solutions, not just technology, and engages stakeholders in the dialogue about prioritizing Technology Services projects and levels of service.

A service ticket is the most efficient way to receive service from Technology Services. Tickets are responded to between 7 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday.
